Printing help
A practical checklist for the current Linefold beta.
1. Choose a usable source
Import PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels. A clean flat scan is easier to scale than a photograph. A small image can look soft when enlarged; Linefold does not reconstruct missing detail.
2. Set the physical measurement
Enter a width or height in mm or inches; the aspect ratio stays locked. Or mark two points on a known reference and enter their real distance. The reference changes scale uniformly and does not straighten perspective.
3. Leave room for your printer
Choose A4 or US Letter and the orientation. Use a margin your printer supports; 10 mm is a starting point, not a guarantee. Overlap repeats a strip of the image on neighbouring sheets to help you align them.
4. Print a test first
Export with the calibration page. In the PDF print dialog choose Actual size or 100%, not Fit / Shrink. Check the paper size. Measure the 100 mm line with a ruler. Stop if it is wrong and check the print settings before using more paper.
5. Join the pages
Use the overview and row/column labels to lay out the pages. Trim one side of a join and align the repeated image in the overlap. Check a known distance across a join before tracing.
If export fails
Try a smaller image and fewer sheets, keep this tab open, and use a current browser. The tool limits a layout to 64 drawing sheets. If a browser blocks the download, allow the PDF download for this site.
What to include in feedback
Describe your browser, paper size, target dimensions, page count and the exact problem. A screenshot with private details removed can help. Do not send an original image you do not want shared.
Feedback contact
For a bug report, include browser and print settings. Do not attach sensitive source images.
